Therapeutic Massage

By integrating a rich array of massage techniques, you will experience a maximum therapeutic benefit of healing and relaxation. Many times people don't know how much stress they're carrying until they have a massage; then they're able to feel it and let go of stress-related tension. As the massage therapist stretches and loosens muscles and connective tissue, stress and muscular tension are released. Techniques used in our therapeutic massage sessions are Swedish Massage (most commonly used for a full body treatment; kneading, frictioning, and joint movements) and trigger point and deep tissue therapies which address chronic pain patterns. Therapeutic massage sessions are customized to your individual needs.

Medical, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue Massage

Often prescribed for injuries and painful conditions,  this type of massage works at increasing the elastiticy of the muscles, improving range of motion and decreasing muscle spasm and pain.  The session begins with a full assessment and development of a treatment plan that addresses the major causes of pain, which include Ischemia, Trigger Points, Nerve Compression or Entrapment, Postural Distortion, and Biomechanical Dysfunction.
This type of massage can also be used to help with conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, tension and migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain,  chronic pain, and almost any other soft-tissue disorder.

The ultimate Aaaah!  This ancient art of healing was used by the American Indians over 2000 years ago.  Smooth, flat, oiled Mexican Basalt stones are heated and placed on strategic points on your body--even tiny ones between your toes. While the stones work their magic, the massage therapist uses both stones and hands to apply gentle massage to melt away your stress.   This is also an excellent therapy to treat your osteo or rheumatoid arthritis!
